OHSWEKEN, Ontario (September 12, 2019) – Ohsweken Speedway officials are pleased to announce that Inside Track Motorsport News has returned to present an award at the Canadian Sprint Car Nationals this weekend.
The fastest Canadian driver during group time trials for Saturday’s Canadian Sprint Car Nationals will receive a $300 CAD award from Inside Track Motorsport News; in a new wrinkle this year, the amount will increase to $500 CAD if the winner is an ITMN subscriber. Representatives from Inside Track will be at Ohsweken Speedway on Saturday accepting new subscriptions.
Past winners of the Fastest Canadian Qualifier award include Steve Poirier (3), Glenn Styres (2), Dylan Westbrook (2), Mitch Brown, Tom Huppunen, Mikey Kruchka, Kyle Patrick, Chris Steele, Adam West, and Steve Lyons. The current entry list for Saturday’s event stands at 67 drivers, including 32 Canadians.

The Canadian Sprint Car Nationals has been the annual season-closing event at Ohsweken Speedway since 2005, and brings together drivers and teams from the Empire Super Sprints, Great Lakes Super Sprints, National Racing Alliance Sprint Invaders, Patriot Sprint Tour, Southern Ontario Sprints, and Ohsweken Speedway’s Kool Kidz-Corr/Pak 360 Sprint Car division, plus more teams and drivers from Canada, the United States, Australia, and New Zealand.

Ohsweken Speedway’s Friday Night Excitement racing program is the centerpiece of a new international television broadcast on MavTV Canada called All North Racing powered by Pinty’s.
