REGISTRATION & INFORMATION MEETINGS SCHEDULED FOR MARCH 29; NEW HEAD TECHNICAL DIRECTOR ANNOUNCED

by Tommy Goudge (February 27, 2015) – Ohsweken, Ontario – Ohsweken Speedway will be holding registration and information meetings for all five of the track’s weekly Friday night racing divisions on Sunday, March 29 in the Wayne Gretzky Room at the Best Western Brant Park Inn located at 19 Holiday Drive in Brantford, Ontario.

Ohsweken Speedway officials are also pleased to announce Mike Miller as the new Head Technical Director. A former competitor at several area tracks, and an industrial mechanic by trade, Miller brings a wealth of knowledge to his new role. Miller will be joined by returning Assistant Technical Director Joe Massicotte, and both will be available to answer questions at the meetings on March 29. Miller can also be contacted anytime by e-mail at ohswekentech@gmail.com

Greg Calnan (Marketing & Promotions Director), Clinton Geoffrey (Director of Race Night Operations), Doug Leonard (Director of Race Night Operations & Race Director), and Lorraine Pedersen (Director of Customer Relations) will also take part in the meetings, and be available to answer questions.

The schedule for the meetings on Sunday, March 29 is as follows:

12:30pm to 1:30pm – Registration
1:30pm to 2:15pm – Mini Stocks and Bombers
2:30pm to 3:15pm – Thunder Stocks
3:30pm to 4:15pm – 360 Sprint Cars and Crate Sprint Cars

Memberships, pit passes, and transponders for the 2015 Ohsweken Speedway season will be available for purchase at the meetings. The membership fee is $60, and payable by cash, cheque, debit card, or credit card. RENEW YOUR SPECIAL EVENT TICKETS NOW!

The ticket renewal period for Ohsweken Speedway’s 2015 Special Events is now open and runs until Friday, March 13th, 2015 at 11pm.

Those who purchased their tickets online last year and already have an account with TicketForce will be able to renew their tickets at http://ohswekenspeedway.ticketforce.com beginning at 9:00am on Wednesday, February 25.

Renewals can also be done by phone between 9:00 am and 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday at 519 717-0023 beginning on Wednesday, February 25. Please leave a detailed message if your call goes to the answering machine, and your call will be returned as soon as possible.

Anyone wishing to renew their 2014 Special Event seats must do so by Friday, March 13. Any seats not renewed before the deadline will be available for sale to the general public on Monday, March 16 at 9:00am.

SPECIAL EVENT TICKET RENEWAL PERIOD RESCHEDULED; WILL BEGIN FEBRUARY 25

by Tommy Goudge (February 21, 2015)  – The ticket renewal period for Ohsweken Speedway’s 2015 Special Events originally scheduled to begin on Monday, February 23 has been rescheduled and will begin Wednesday, February 25.

Those who purchased their tickets online last year and already have an account with TicketForce will be able to renew their tickets at http://ohswekenspeedway.ticketforce.com beginning at 9:00am on Wednesday, February 25.

Renewals can also be done by phone between 9:00 am and 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday at 519 717-0023 beginning on Wednesday, February 25. Please leave a detailed message if your call goes to the answering machine, and your call will be returned as soon as possible.

As the Head Technical Director, Glen played an integral role in the growth and prosperity of the speedway. Car counts in all of Ohsweken’s racing divisions grew steadily as Glen helped to enforce technical specifications and safety requirements.

HOOSIER TIRE PARTNERSHIP CONTINUES, EXPANDS IN 2015

The partnership will see season championship points funds bolstered, and Hoosier tires mandated for all four corners of each car competing in both the Corr/Pak Merchandising 360 Sprint Car and Strickland’s GMC Crate Sprint Car divisions. The 360 division has a three year commitment, while the Crate division has a one year commitment.
