OHSWEKEN, Ont. (September 17, 2026) – Middleport Mechanical and Klotz Engine Repair presented the 3rd Running of the Northern Thunder Stock Nationals and the 2nd Running of the Northern Mini Stock Nationals at Ohsweken Speedway on Thursday; Ryan Beagle took the win for the Thunder Stocks, and Alex Riley won in the Mini Stock division.

Northern Thunder Stock Nationals
Dave Bailey and Trevor DeBoer rolled off the front row starting positions for the 35 lap Northern Thunder Stock Nationals A-Main. Bailey set the pace as he led the opening laps, building a 1.2 second lead by lap seven. Lap nine and thirteen saw incidents that led to the stoppage of the race momentarily.

Ryan Beagle chased Bailey down for the lead on lap seventeen becoming the new race leader. As the race neared its end a late race caution occurred. Kyle Wert had an amazing restart gaining the lead two laps left to go. Wert’s lead was short lived as the final caution of the race fell. Wert tried to defend off Beagle and Baily in the closing laps but came up short as Beagle went on to win his third Northern Thunder Stock Nationals Championship, keeping him the one and only driver to win the crown jewel event. Rounding out the top ten were Bailey in second, Kyle Wert third, Ryan Kimball fourth, Pete Reid fifth, Ron Loggie sixth, Nick Cameron seventh, DeBoer eighth, Andrew Mailloux ninth, and George Grosul tenth.

Northern Mini Stock Nationals
Tim DeBoer and Gillian Hils started on the front row for the 35 lap Northern Mini Stock Nationals A-Main. Hils led the opening laps until a caution fell on lap three as Cierra Keus came to a stop on the track. Alexander Klotz became the second leader of the race after the restart; however, Jeremy Hughes suffered a spin on lap five, bringing out the caution.

Hils had a better restart and gained the lead once more until Klotz reclaimed it on the very next lap. The final caution of the race fell on lap eight which saw Hils take the lead on the restart. Klotz chased down Hils, taking the lead back on lap fifteen. Mason Anderson made his presence know with fifteen laps left to go as he chased down the leaders, taking the lead. Once Anderson got the lead he drove away from the field, except from Alex Riley. Riley stuck close by to Anderson as the laps ticked off. However, Anderson has the pace advantage as he went onto win the race. Riley crossed the finish next in second, the rest of the top ten were Gillian Hils in third, Tim DeBoer fourth, Doug Erskine fifth, Nick Erskine sixth, Brendan Lefrancois seventh, Dusty DeBoer eighth, Nick Bowman ninth, and Conner Chambers tenth. Riley was promoted as the race winner, becoming 2026 Northern Mini Stock Nationals Champion post race due to Anderson failing post race tech.
