OHSWEKEN, Ont. (July 31, 2026) – Electromart and Central Ontario presented the Gale’s Cash Blast 30 on Friday at Ohsweken Speedway. DJ Christie, Jesse Costa, and Alexander Klotz took A-Main victories.
Kool Kidz-Corr/Pak 360 Sprint Cars 
Corey Turner started on pole with Dylan Westbrook next to him for the 360 Sprint Car A-Main. Dylan Westbrook rocketed straight to the lead, setting the pace of the race. DJ Christie and Nick Sheridan could be found fighting for position within the top ten as the rest of the drivers settled into their positions respectively.
Christie was able to break away from the field, setting his sights on the leading Westbrook. On lap ten, Christie was able to set up his pass for the lead over Westbrook. A caution came out with five laps remaining due to third place running Eric Gledhill colliding into a lapped John Burbridge Junior. Christie was able to hold off Westbrook and Sheridan to pick up his maiden regular feature 360 sprint victory at Ohsweken. Next to finish were Sheridan in second who overtook Westbrook in the closing laps. Rounding out the top five were Josh Hansen, and Glenn Styres fifth.
Strickland’s Crate Sprint Cars
Mack DeMan and Liam Martin brought the 28 car field to the green flag for the Crate Sprint Car A-Main. Riley Mercer suffered a spin on the opening lap bringing out the caution. DeMan led from the restart until Jesse Costa ran him down for the lead on lap five, becoming the new race leader.
The race became a battle of attrition as three cautions came out due to multiple drivers spinning out. With eight laps to go, Costa proved to be unstoppable as he sailed into his fifth victory of the year. Rounding out the top five were Mike Bowman in second, Martin third, DeMan fourth, and Steve Murdock fifth.
Middleport Mechanical Thunder Stocks
The front row of the grid featured Mike Klazinga and Kacey Huffman to begin the 30 Lap Gale’s Cash Blast 30 A-Main. A caution fell before the first lap could be completed as Brando Greene-Styres and Brian Pescetti suffered a spin. Huffman took the early lead on the restart, leading just one lap as Gofast Teeple assumed the lead.
Zack Bleich pursued after Teeple, overtaking him for the lead on lap seven. Ron Loggie was challenging Bleich for the lead when a caution fell with fifteen laps left to go. Bleich held off Loggie just long enough as the final caution of the race came out just three laps later. Newcomer Ryan Kimball found himself in contention for the lead after the restart as he started on the eleventh row and worked himself up to the top three throughout the race. Kimball got around Bleich, bringing Dave Bailey with him.
Bailey tried to match Kimball’s pace in the closing laps, but he ran out of time as Kimball appeared to pick up his first feature win at Ohsweken. Rounding out the top five were Bleich in third, and Brock Gregory fourth, and Tyler French fifth. Kimball was later disqualified after failing post race inspection at the tech barn.
Insta-Insulation Mini Stocks
Jeff Elsliger started on pole alongside Alex Riley to take the green flag for the 15 Lap Mini Stock A-Main. Christopher French led the opening laps until a caution fell due to Tim DeBoer spinning on the front stretch collecting Jason Tolten. Jans Janssens had a stunning restart, taking the lead away from French.
Alexander Klotz became the new race leader with nine laps remaining after he successfully tracked down Janssens. Klotz became untouchable once he got the lead, going on to win his first feature at Ohsweken. Rounding out the top five were Craig Cole in second, Elsliger third, Dusty DeBoer fourth, and Ken Hair fifth.
