OHSWEKEN, Ont. (December 20, 2021) – The Glenn Styres Racing team is excited to announce the addition of Australian racer Brayden Cooley to the driver roster for the 2022 season. Cooley will join the team in Florida in February and eventually head north to contest a full season in Ontario this summer.

Cooley has found speed in Karts, Micro Sprints, 360 Sprint Cars, and 410 Sprint Cars in Australia, and will make his North American debut in 2022. The 23-year-old from Warrnambool, Victoria will drive the No. 20 GSR car with support from Ohsweken Speedway Racesource, Enriam Dynamics, Smith Titanium, Slade Shock Technology, Al Parker Racing Engines, and Hepfner Racing Products.

The team plans to compete in the USCS Winter Heat Series which begins February 4 at Hendry County Motorsports Park in Clewiston, Florida. The series includes 12 events over six February and March weekends, with stops in Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, and Alabama. Cooley is ready to meet the challenge, and will have experienced crew chief Kevin Loveys in his corner. Following the conclusion of the Winter Heat Series, the team will travel back to Canada and prepare for a full season of regional touring series events and weekly racing at Ohsweken Speedway.

“There will be a lot of sacrifices, but this has always been a dream since I was a young kid,” Cooley said. “When this opportunity came to the table I had to go for it. I can’t thank Glenn Styres enough for the opportunity, and I can’t wait to be working with crew chief Kevin Loveys and the whole GSR Race Team.”
