OHSWEKEN, Ont. (August 14, 2026) – Duke Electric and LMP Excavation presented Backpack Night and Touch-a-Truck Night Friday at Ohsweken Speedway. Skyler Evans, Jesse Costa, Dave Bailey and Alex Riley took A-Main victories.

Kool Kidz-Corr/Pak 360 Sprint Cars
Skyler Evans started on pole with D.J. Christie next to him for the 360 Sprint Car A-Main. Evans and Christie battled hard for the lead on the opening lap, seeing Evans prevail. Kyle Phillips bought out the caution on lap eight as he came to a stop.

Evans broke away from the field after the restart, building a lead that was over four seconds. Fifteen year old Evans went on to win his first 360 Sprint feature, holding off a hard charging Dylan Westbrook who had to settle for second place. Next to finish were Christie in third, Eric Gledhill fourth, and Nick Sheridan fifth.

Strickland’s Crate Sprint Cars
Larry Gledhill and Keegan Baker led the 28 car field to the green flag for the Crate Sprint Car A-Main. Excitement began at the drop of the green flag as Austin Roes and Lance Erskine tangled into each other off turn two on the opening lap.

Gledhill put on a dominant drive after the restart as no one could catch him. With one lap left to go, Gledhill could be found navigating heavy traffic. Jesse Costa used a lap car as a pick to get around Gledhill, ultimately becoming the race winning move. Gledhill scored a close second with Keegan Baker in third. Rounding out the top five were Mack Deman and Liam Martin respectively.

Middleport Mechanical Thunder Stocks
The front row of the grid featured Kyle Wert and Kyle Andress to begin the 20 Lap Thunder Stock A-Main. Wert led the opening lap just before a caution fell on lap two due to title contender Ryan Beagle coming to a stop on the track.

Dave Bailey began to work himself to the front after the race resumed, tracking down Wert. Wert relinquished the lead after Bailey made the successful pass for first with nine laps remaining. Bailey went on to win the race, adding another win for the all time wins record. Rounding out the top five were Wert in second, Ron Loggie third, Zack Bleich fourth, and Beagle fifth.

Insta-Insulation Mini Stocks
Jeremy Cooper started on pole alongside Randy Alway to take the green flag for the 15 Lap Mini Stock A-Main. Cooper clearly set the stage with his phenomenal pace. The rest of the field were racing intensely for positions.

Cooper seemed destined to win the race after enduring two race restarts through the course of the event, however with just one lap left to go, Alex Riley made a last second pass for the lead. Riley held off Cooper in the final turn to win the race. Cooper found himself settling for second, while Tim DeBoer finished in third. Closing out the top five were Alexander Klotz in fourth, and Craig Cole fifth.
