OHSWEKEN, Ont. (July 17, 2026) – Hunsinger’s and Abate & Associates presented Halloween in July and Autograph Night on Friday at Ohsweken Speedway. Josh Hansen, Jesse Costa, Ryan Beagle, and Mark Thorne took A-Main victories.
Kool Kidz-Corr/Pak 360 Sprints
Josh Hansen started on pole with Darren Dryden next to him for the 25 lap 360 Sprint Car A-Main. Hansen took command of the race with blistering speed, opening a gap of 2.2 seconds over the field. Traffic became a factor for the leaders on lap eight.
The Turner brothers – Ryan and Cory – were able to stabilize the the second and third positions, holding off Nick Sheridan and Dryden. Meanwhile, points leader Dylan Westbrook was struggling to keep touch with the top five, a first for this season. Hansen grabbed the checkers first with a devastating 5.8 second advantage, claiming the $8,000 bounty on Westbrook. Finishing out the top five were Ryan Turner in second, Cory Turner third, Sheridan fourth, and Dryden fifth.
Strickland’s Brantford Chevrolet Crate Sprints
Campbell Baker and Austin Roes brought the 28 car field to the green flag for the Crate Sprint Car A-Main. Jesse Costa took the lead from the drop of the green flag after starting on the second row. Costa began to put drivers a lap down by lap seven.
Despite the stout field and stiff competition, Costa proved to be the standout driver as he crossed the finish first with a 5.8 lead over second place Mack DeMan, leading every lap and running the fastest lap of the race. Next to finish were Mike Bowman in third, Steve Murdock fourth, and Liam Martin fifth.
Middleport Mechanical Thunder Stocks
The front row of the grid featured Kyle Andress and Gofast Teeple to begin the 20 lap Thunder Stocks A-Main. Teeple was fast right out of the gate, leading the first lap. He built a three second lead over the field by lap six as he began to hold off the championship favorites, Dave Bailey and Ryan Beagle.
The only caution flag of the race occurred on lap eleven as Liam Shwedyk suffered a spin in front of the lead lap cars. Everyone avoided the spin, but Teeple was affected the most as his lead was extinguished. Teeple tried his best to hold off the two most recent champions, but it was to no avail as Beagle and Bailey split him as both battled for the lead. Beagle claimed the lead with seven laps remaining, going on to win the race and keep the bounty alive for another race at least. Rounding out the top five were Bailey in second, Teeple third, Ryan Kimball fourth, and Trevor DeBoer fifth.
Insta-Insulation Mini Stocks
Mark Thorne started on pole alongside Connor Chambers to take the green flag for the 15 Lap Mini Stocks A-Main. Mark Thorne led the opening laps unchallenged, enjoying a 1.7 second lead by lap eight.
Meanwhile, there was a hotly contested battle for second between Wayde Thorne, Alex Riley, Alexander Klotz, Craig Cole, and Jeff Elsliger. This five car battle lasted for the remaining laps of the race while Mark Thorne drove off to his first Ohsweken victory, leading every lap of the contest. The rest of the top five were Klotz in second, Riley third, Wayde Thorne fourth, and Craig Cole fifth.

The Six Nations Showdown presented by Federated Auto Parts will take to the track on Tuesday, July 21 and Wednesday July 22. This NOS Energy Drink World of Outlaws Sprint Car series double header will be packed with action, with each night featuring a different support division; the Dirt Late Model Open will be run on Tuesday, while a UMP vs. Canadian Modified challenge will be run on Wednesday.
