Jim Huppunen and Ryan Turner started on the front row of the A-Main. Two-time champion Huppunen took the lead at the drop of the green flag and was the class of the field leading all 20 laps. Turner had a comfortable ride finishing a very solid second. The best battle on the track throughout the contest was from third to sixth as Cory Turner, Mitch Brown, Dylan Westbrook and Glenn Styres fought back and forth lap after lap. At the line Turner held off Westbrook for the final podium position while Brown completed the top five.
Dylan Westbrook and Mitch Brown picked up heat race wins earlier in the evening while Jake Brown won the Ackland Insurance Top Gun Award.

UMP MODIFIEDS (15 entries)
The 20 lap UMP Modified feature was led to the green flag by Joe Brosseau and Drew Smith. Brosseau led the opening lap, but was unable to hold off the charge of Joel Dick. Starting third, Dick was able to power by Brosseau to lead lap two and cruise to the win. Ken Schrader was the closest competition for the leader however was never able to give Dick a serious challenge. Schrader would settle for second while Drew Smith, Jim Dale Jr. and Eugene Hoekstra completed the top five.
Joel Dick and Ken Schrader captured heat wins.

STRICKLAND’S GMC CRATE SPRINT CARS (24 entries)
Jerry Hill and Holly Porter started on the front row of the 20 lap Crate Sprint Car A-Main, however fourth place starter Mack DeMan got by both drivers to take the lead. DeMan led the opening 8 laps before opening night winner Ryan Hunsinger slipped past for the lead and the eventual win. DeMan settled for second while defending division champion Jesse McDonald finished third. Mike Thorne and Holly Porter rounded out the top five.
Ryan Hunsinger, Holly Porter and Jesse McDonald claimed heat race wins while Shone Evans won the B-Main and the Ackland Insurance Top Gun Award.

MIDDLEPORT MECHANICAL THUNDER STOCKS (28 entries)
Dereck Lemyre and Ken Sargent led the 28 car field to the green flag in race two of the Thunder Stock season. Lemyre led the opening 4 circuits before giving way for defending champion Dave Bailey. The Hagersville driver took charge of the race on lap 5 and never looked back as he powered to his second win in a row. Ryan Dinning charged from his seventh start position to challenge Bailey in the closing laps, but had to settle for second. Jim Lampman was third while Lemyre and Sargent completed the top five.
Dave Bailey, Jim Lampman and Dereck Lemyre claimed the three heat race wins.

HRW AUTOMOTIVE MINI STOCKS (40 entries)
40 Mini Stocks were in attendance looking for 28 positions in the A-Main Friday night. Mark Bazuin and opening night winner Jon Janssens led the field to green and would battle back and forth throughout the contest. Third place starter Brandon Crumbie jumped out in front to lead the opening two laps. He would regain the top spot from Janssens on lap 7 before a spin sent him to the tail of the field. Janssens took over command of the race for the next five laps before Bazuin got by him with just two laps to go. Bazuin claimed his first win of the season over Janssens while brother Brandon Janssens finished third. Tim DeBoer and Aaron Rewutzsky finished fourth and fifth.
Heat race winners were Aaron Rewutzsky, Jon Janssens, Brandon Crumbie and Mark Bazuin.

GALE’S AUTO AFTERMARKET BOMBERS (21 entries)
Jerry Burnham captured his first win of the season from the pole in the Bomber division. Season opener winner and point leader Lucas Smith had another solid outing placing second ahead of Paul Longboat, Dustin Longboat and Gillian Hils. The race was shortened due to dusty conditions and was slowed by one red flag for a flip by Adam Halbert. Adam was uninjured in the accident.

Ohsweken’s weekly Friday night racing program runs from May to September each year, featuring 360 Sprint Cars, Crate Sprint Cars, Thunder Stocks, Mini Stocks, and Bombers, while the season finishes each year with the annual Canadian Sprint Car Nationals. Ohsweken Speedway also hosts weekly Micro Sprint racing on Thursday nights, and has been a yearly stop on the World of Outlaws Sprint Car series schedule since 2007.
