by Tommy Goudge (September 22, 2016) – Ohsweken, Ontario – Ohsweken Speedway’s “Hot Run Night” has been rescheduled to Friday, September 30.
The event was originally scheduled for Friday, September 23, but has been moved to September 30 in order to make sure track conditions are ideal for motorcycle racers and their final round of the Flat Track Canada National Championship Race Series on Saturday, September 24.
The Invitational “Hot Run Night” is intended to allow those from other disciplines of racing to give dirt racing a try, and test out Ohsweken-style race cars. It also allows a chance for crew members, sponsors, and friends to experience the thrill of racing on Ohsweken’s 3/8 mile oval.
The event is open to all Mini Stocks, Thunder Stocks, Crate Sprint Cars, and 360 Sprint Cars which meet Ohsweken Speedway’s 2016 rulebook.
Car owners who are willing to allow their cars to be used at this event are asked to e-mail Ohsweken Speedway General Manager Clinton Geoffrey at firstname.lastname@example.org
Experienced racers who are looking to try out some dirt track action are also asked to email email@example.com – We will try to accommodate requests based on experience.
Pit Gates will open at 5:00pm on Friday, September 30, and the track will open for hot laps at 7:00pm. All drivers must use one-way radios. Pit admission is $35, and the pit concession stand will be open at 5:00pm and remain open while supplies last. Spectator grandstands will NOT be open for this event.
