Feb 18, 2025 – OHSWEKEN, ON – Once a hidden gem in the local racing scene, the Micro Sprint program at Ohsweken Speedway is now a must-watch attraction. With a growing list of graduates making waves on Friday nights and live coverage on GForceTV, Thursday night racing is bigger than ever.
“Our Thursday night program is the perfect stepping stone for young racers looking to move into full-sized cars, and for veteran racers who just want to have fun,” said Ohsweken Speedway General Manager Clinton Geoffrey. “The growth we’re seeing is incredible.”
Running every Thursday at 7:00 PM from May through September, the program features five divisions spanning from karts to micro sprints.
- Beginner Micro Sprints – Young drivers ages 5-10 with little or no experience.
- Box Stock Micro Sprints – Open to experienced racers ages 7-16.
- Open Micro Sprint – Ages 13 & Over
- Junior Karts – Perfect for racers ages 5-13 getting their start in the sport.
- Senior Karts – Open to drivers 14 and up, with no upper age limit.
Among the program’s notable graduates is Dylan Westbrook, the winningest 360 Sprint Car driver in Ohsweken Speedway history.
“Racing karts and micro sprints builds a skill set that translates directly into the sprint cars we see on Friday nights,” added Geoffrey. “If you’re a fan or a racer, our Thursday night program is something you have to experience.”
The Micro Sprint program is proudly supported by Hal-Nor Mechanical and Kool Kidz Ice & Water, whose commitment to grassroots racing helps fuel the next generation of dirt track stars.
