August 14, 2015 – The management and staff of Ohsweken Speedway wishes to extend heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of Mel Styres. Mel was a longtime supporter of local racing who was coping with terminal cancer and financial hardship.
Drivers from Ohsweken Speedway’s Thunder Stock and Bomber divisions “passed the helmet” for Mel Styres at the Six Nations Showdown on Tuesday, July 28. The track’s fans and racers once again showed their generosity and compassion, as a total of $2585 was raised. The donated money was delivered to Mel on July 29, and will help his family with expenses during their time of grief.
