OHSWEKEN, Ont. (July 3, 2026) – Club 54 Racing and Blastall Equipment presented the Northeast Late Model Alliance series on Friday at Ohsweken Speedway. Charlie Sandercock, Keegan Baker, Dave Bailey, Rob Pietz, and Jake Hooker took A-Main victories.

Northeast Late Model Alliance Series
Charlie Sandercock started on pole with Brandon Mowatt next to him for the 25 lap Northeast Late Model Alliance A-Main. Mowat briefly led the race until Sandercock reclaimed the first position on lap two. Mowatt rallied back, taking the lead back on lap four, just to have Sandercock to take it back a couple laps later. These two drivers were putting on a show of spectacular racing.

Anthony Rinaldi suffered a spin on lap eight, bringing out the first caution flag. Sandercock held off the field on the restart, holding strong on his lead. As the laps ticked off, the racing got more intense as three caution flags occurred in the final ten laps of the race. Sandercock stood tall to the challenge of late race restarts, going on to win the race. Finishing out the top five were Ryan Lambert in second, Mowatt third, Craig Graham fourth, and Brandt Graham fifth.

Strickland’s Crate Sprint Cars
Keegan Baker and Steve Murdock brought the 28 car field to the green flag for the Crate Sprint Car A-Main. Baker led the opening lap, but Murdock clamped down on the lead on the next lap. Murdock began to out pace the field, putting drivers a lap down and building a 1.3 second advantage by lap eleven.

Heartbreak struck for Murdock as he crashed out of the lead after colliding with Jeremy May, whose car was stricken on the front stretch with just eight laps left to go. The dash to the finish saw Logan Shwedyk, Nick Sheridan, and Baker trade the lead amongst themselves. It was Baker who proved victorious as he edged out Sheridan for the win, picking up his second crate sprint victory at Ohsweken. Finishing out the top five were Sheridan in second, Shwedyk third, Liam Martin fourth, and Mack Deman fifth.

Middleport Mechanical Thunder Stocks
The front row of the grid featured Kyle Pelrine and Justin Ramsay to begin the 50 lap Brock Leonard Memorial Middleport Mechanical Thunder Stocks A-Main. Pelrine led the first five laps, however Ramsay tracked him down and passed for the lead. Ryan Beagle came to play as he became the leader in lap nine.

A couple of caution flags shook up the field and saw Dave Bailey become the leader after a restart by lap 30. Brock Gregory set up an amazing pass for the lead with just five laps left to go, however an extremely late race caution flag saw Bailey and Beagle get around Gregory on a restart. Bailey crossed the finish first, following next were Beagle in second, Gregory third, Ramsay fourth, and Zack Bleich.

Vintage Modifieds
Jake Hooker started on pole alongside Alan Wood to take the green flag for the 20 Lap Vintage Modifieds A-Main. Hooker led the opening two laps as he roared down the track. Wood tracked down Hooker for the lead, passing on lap three.

Rob Pietz gained the lead on lap seven, however Wood stuck close by. The rest of the competitors battled amongst themselves, racing clean and green with no caution flags while the battle for the lead was hotly contested between Pietz and Wood. Pietz got the upper hand over Wood, winning by 0.777 seconds. Next to see the checkers were Hooker third, Stan Zanchin forth, and Scott McPhail fifth. Pietz was also credited with the win in the 70’s-80’s division, while Hooker took the victory for the 30’s-60’s division.
