OHSWEKEN, Ont. (July 18, 2025) – Gale’s Auto Aftermarket and County Line presented Gale’s Cash Blast Night on Friday at Ohsweken Speedway. Dylan Westbrook, Steve Murdock, Ryan Beagle, and Alex Riley took A-Main victories.
Kool Kidz-Corr/Pak 360 Sprint Cars
DJ Christie started on pole with Baily Heard next to him for the 360 Sprint Car A-Main. Christie led the first lap, however it was short-lived as a caution flag came out due to Ashton VanEvery stopping on the track on lap two. Nick Sheridan capitalized on the restart, rocketing ahead into the lead. Sheridan began to pull away and built a 1.2 second advantage over the field.
An untimely caution came out on lap twelve that extinguished Sheridan’s lead. Dylan Westbrook managed to get the better of Sheridan on the restart and took over the lead. With a clean track ahead of Westbrook, he went onto win the race and pick up his 47th victory in the Ohsweken 360 Sprint Car division. Next to finish were Sheridan in second, Christie third, Ryan Turner fourth, and Mike Bowman fifth.
Strickland’s Crate Sprint Cars
Adrian Stahle and Ryan Fraser brought the 28 car field to the green flag for the Crate Sprint Car A-Main. Stahle quickly looked like the driver to beat as he led the opening laps with ease, even defending his position on a restart after Trevor Young brought out the caution flag on lap eight.
Steve Murdock began to gnaw away at Stahle’s lead, sizing up an overtake for the lead. Stahle tried to react to the pass, but fell quickly into the clutches of Al Sleight, Holly Porter, and Brett Stratford. Murdock navigated brilliantly in traffic and secured his first victory of the season. Rounding out the top five were Sleight in second, Porter third, Stratford fourth, and Stahle fifth.
Middleport Mechanical Thunder Stocks
The front row of the grid featured Ryan Beagle and Brian General to begin the Gale’s Cash Blast 40 Lap Thunder Stock A-Main. With a big winning purse on the line, the race started with a pileup in the first turn that took Scott McPhail out of the running. The restart was cleaner, and saw Beagle lead the talented pack of Thunder Stock drivers through the opening laps. Lap eight saw another caution flag as Robert Hoskins spun on his own and collected Brian General.
Beagle flexed his muscle as he fended off the field on the restart, quickly encountering traffic just six laps after the caution. Mark Bauzin brought out the final caution flag of the race as he spun on lap 22. This allowed Trevor DeBoer to briefly snag the lead for one lap after the restart, only to have Beagle claim it back and go on to win the race by leading all but one lap. DeBoer had to settle for second, with Dave Bailey taking the final podium step. Rounding out the top five were Spencer Smolders fourth, and Adam Plazek fifth.
Insta-Insulation Mini Stocks
Alex Riley started on pole alongside Cierra Keus to take the green flag for the Gale’s Cash Blast 20 Lap Mini Stock A-Main. Keus led on the first lap, however Riley overtook for the lead on the next lap. The rest of the field jockeyed for positions with great race craft as there was big money on the line, many knowing that this race could turn into a battle of attrition.
Jeff Elsliger began to contend for the lead against Riley and the two front runners raced furiously for the position. Riley found relief from the relentless Elsiger when Wayne Thorne suffered a flat and came to a stop in turn four with five laps left to go. This set up a dash to the finish, which ultimately saw Riley stand tall to the challenge and cross the finish line first. Rounding out the top five were Elsliger in second, Ken Hair third, Tim DeBoer fourth, and Dusty DeBoer fifth.
Up Next at Ohsweken Speedway

The Middleport Mechanical Thunder Stocks and Insta-Insulation Mini Stocks will also be in action. Visit www.ohswekenspeedway.ca for more information.
