OHSWEKEN, Ont. (September 5, 2025) – EPIC Racewear and Bradshaw Brothers presented Championship Friday at Ohsweken Speedway on September 5. Dylan Westbrook, Brett Stratford, Dave Bailey, and Jeremy Cooper took A-Main victories, while Westbrook, Jacob Dykstra, Ryan Beagle, and Tim DeBoer clinched track championships.

Kool Kidz-Corr/Pak 360 Sprints
Darren Dryden started on pole with Cory Turner next to him for the 360 Sprint Car A-Main. DJ Christie led the opening laps after starting fourth on the grid, fending off the field. Ashton VanEvery got sideways in turn one, collecting Mike Lichty and Nick Sheridan. The hard crash resulted in a lengthy red flag; fortunately none of the drivers were seriously harmed. Dylan Westbrook got the lead on the restart and looked set to win the race once he got clean air, as he survived multiple race restarts.

A late-race caution saw Christie lead with five laps to go, but Westbrook shook off Christie to win the race. The win was Westbrook’s 50th victory in 360 Sprint Car competition at Ohsweken and sealed his second consecutive track championship. Next to finish the race were Josh Hansen in second, Christie third, Sheridan fourth from deep in the pack, and Cory Turner fifth.

Strickland’s Crate Sprints
Lance Erskine and Tom Pellizzari brought the 28 car field to the green flag for the Crate Sprint Car A-Main. Pellizzari edged out Erskine to lead the first lap, however his efforts were cut short as Riley Mercer brought out the caution flag with a spin in turn four. Erskine regained his original position for only a lap after the restart as Brett Stratford swooped into the lead. Points leader Jacob Dykstra spun to a stop on lap four bringing out the caution flag.

The Dykstra caution bred two more consecutive cautions but Stratford hung tough, defending his lead each time. Stratford went to on to win the race, sharing the podium with Pellizzari and Steve Murdock. Rounding out the top five were Eric Gledhill in fourth and Mikey Kruchka fifth. Dykstra’s 21st place finish wasn’t ideal, but it was enough to claim the track championship when contender Jesse Costa ran into trouble.

Middleport Mechanical Thunder Stocks
The front row of the grid featured Logan Ferguson and Trevor Monaghan to begin the Thunder Stock A-Main. Monaghan got around Ferguson to lead the first lap. Kacey Huffman quickly moved to the lead on lap three after starting sixth on the grid, however Dave Bailey tracked down and overtook Huffman for the lead by lap nine after overtaking 18 drivers.

Ryan Beagle did what he had to do to win the track championship by staying glued to Bailey in the non-stop race. Beagle didn’t have quite enough to challenge for the lead as Bailey picked up the win, but Beagle’s second place finish clinched his second consecutive Thunder Stock title. Next to finish were Trevor DeBoer in third, Mike Thorne fourth, and Zack Bleich fifth.

Insta-Insulation Mini Stocks
Steven Boverhof started on pole alongside Jeremy Cooper to take the green flag for the Mini Stock A-Main. Cooper jumped onto the lead, claiming it for himself in the opening laps and holding off the pack. The pack raced hard but fair, as not a single caution was drawn throughout the 15 lap distance.

Cooper proved to be the class of the field, leading every lap of the race without making a single mistake. The top five were rounded out by Boverhof in second, Jeff Elsiger third, Ken Hair fourth, and Nick Erskine fifth. Tim DeBoer clinched the Mini Stock title with his sixth place finish, joining brother Dusty on the Mini Stock champions list.
