OHSWEKEN, Ont. (May 15, 2025) – The World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series was back at Ohsweken on Thursday for the second night of the Federated Auto Parts Showdown; David Gravel completed the WoO sweep of Ohsweken with a $20,000 victory, while Greg Belyea won the UMP vs CDN Modified event.

World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series
Ohsweken Speedway track champion, Dylan Westbrook started on pole with Chris Windom next to him for the 35 lap World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series A-Main. Westbrook quickly jumped out into the lead, however a red flag came out on lap two when Giovanni Scelzi flipped on the back stretch. Scelzi’s crew worked furiously, and he was able to return to the race thanks to a caution flag for debris from contact in the midfield on the restart.

The third try to get the race going was clean as Westbrook took a healthy lead over the pack. Meanwhile, Windom and Conner Morrell were battling it out for the second position. Morrell got the best of Windom, taking the second spot. Stewart Friesen spun on lap 13, bringing out another caution flag. Morrell took full advantage of the restart, quickly overtaking Westbrook and becoming the second leader of the race. Westbrook then fell into the grips of the previous night winner, David Gravel who too over the second position.

Gravel was on a torrid pace as he caught up to Morrell, overtaking him for the lead with eight laps left to go. Gravel pulled off a convincing win, crossing the finish line first with a 4.1 second lead, sweeping the mid-week doubleheader. Morrell finished with a WoO career-high second place finish, while Westbrook picked up his second career WoO podium. Sheldon Haudenschild and Windom rounded out the top five.

UMP vs CDN Modifieds
Joel Dick started on pole alongside Brittany Golden to take the green flag for the 20 lap UMP/CDN Modified A-Main. Dick led the opening lap, however Greg Belyea took the lead away on lap two after starting third on the grid. Shawn Gregory suffered a mechanical failure and came to a stop on lap two, bringing out the caution flag. Belyea led the restart perfectly, not allowing the pressure to get to him.

Belyea drove flawlessly as the race threw everything at him, including heavy traffic and two more race restarts. Belyea took a deserving win as he crossed the finish line with a 1.9 second advantage. Rounding out the top five were Dennis Jr. Lunger in second, Dick third, NASCAR legend Ken Schrader fourth, and Drew Smith fifth.
